Enter calls for service into the CAD system. We service 4 counties for 911 emergency medical services. Take aircraft (planes and helicopters) standby’s and launches for emergency medical services. Enter interfacility transfer calls via ambulance into the CAD system, take and process 911 calls for medical ambulances and EMS, Emergency Medical Dispatch all 911 calls and enter determinant codes using the PROQA system, give medical instructions over the phone and pre-arrival instructions, dispatch ambulances to hospitals and track their locations, put units en route, on scene, transporting, at destination and complete. Enter mileage into the CAD system with en route, on scene, transporting and at destination. Track with GPS and mapping systems where the units are located and determine the closest ambulance to the facility or call. Set up ambulance units and enter employee I.D.’s into CAD, perform CPR over the phone if necessary, take incoming phone calls from other police agencies and sheriff offices for ambulance or aircraft services, dispatch ambulances via the radio to hospitals and medical facilities, emergency rooms and psych facilities. Answer units over the radio. Check all my calls for accuracy and QA. I use maps and mapsco’s daily. I know my cities and locations very well. I use common sense and have a very high accuracy with entering addresses into CAD. My accomplishments include the Communications manager stating that I have the #1 highest volume of calls entered and phone calls answered of all employees in the communications center. I was recognized in the company newsletter and my supervisor wrote a letter of commendation about me regarding a choking female with a complete obstruction that I had the granddaughter do the Heimlich maneuver via phone instructions and saved her life due to my quick and accurate response to her need.

Using Tiburon, CAD system, Omnixx or Incode check person(s) for warrants and clear warrants. Enter runaways, missing persons, stolen vehicles, Amber Alerts into the National Police Database. Enter repossessions, stolen vehicles and towed vehicles into the database. Dispatch the Fire Department and ambulances for calls for service and communicate with Fire personnel via the 2 way radio. Dispatch the Police Department on calls for service an also communicate via 2 way radio. Call complainants back for the officers. Complete reports and supplements in Tiburon (Automated Report System) on arrested person(s) for the officers and for records. I use Microsoft Word daily to write reports. Fax and email court documents to other police agencies and courts. Enter Protective Orders into the Tiburon system, send and answer teletypes to/from other police departments. Run serial numbers on articles, electronics, etc to check for stolen and also enter stolen articles into the National Database. File in alphabetical order Protective orders by name, stolen guns via serial number and do validations (check Tiburon system) for accuracy, proof read all reports for accuracy and then approve the report.
